ALL ABOUT OLIVER SCHAFFER

Oliver Schaffer is and always has been a storyteller. Their passion lies in filmmaking and bringing unique stories to the screen with their work exploring the many nuances that make us who we are. The films they create are not only a reflection of their live but the lives of others as well. They believe that media is one of the most powerful mediums that connect people from all walks of life to inspire them to take action. Themes such as gender, disability, queer relationships, and coming of age often make an appearance in their work. They have had their work shown globally to not only entertain but also educate and challenge audiences to see the world in a new way. 

 

They have studied at prestigious film schools worldwide, including Emerson College, NYU, and FAMU. They see filmmaking as a constant opportunity for growth and learning and are always itching to try something new.

Oliver has previously worked for HBO, Partizan Entertainment, and Student Leadership and Engagement at Emerson College. They have experience in directing, writing, editing, production design, and social media management. They also have experience working in a fast-paced environment, fearlessly networking with industry professionals, and managing a multi-million dollar budget.

In their free time, they enjoy painting, writing, reading, or hanging out with their dog.
